Newark Earthworks Great Circle Museum and Gift Shop Hot

This National Historic Landmark is a place where visitors can explore a 2,000 year-old geometric earthowrks that served both cathedral and astronomical observatories for the people know to archaeologists as the Hopewell culture. Owned by the Ohio Historical Society, the Newark Earthworks State memorial includes the Great Circle Earthworks State Memorial, Octagon Earthworks, and the Wright Earthworks. Also home of the Greater Licking County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
