This nationally acclaimed Greek Revival mansion was built in 1842 by Alfred Avery, one of the founders of Granville. The architectural designs of Minard Lafever and Asher Benjamin are part of the fabric of the building. Added to over the years, it now has 27 rooms, 14 are open to the public. The interior contains displays of 18th and 19th century American and European furniture, decorative arts, paintings, sculptures, carpets, silver, china, and lighting.
Hours: March-December, Wednesday-Saturday, 1-4 p.m.
