Works, The

The Works is Central Ohio's hands-on learning, creating and doing place!  The downtown newark museum is a family fun destination featuring hands-on activity labs, historical exhibits, live glassblowing demonstrations, an art gallery, classes, camps and special events.  The Works has something for everyone and visitors are always encouraged to learn, create and appreciate!  Open Tuesday - Saturday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

The Glass Works Studio is also a hands-on educational facility offering classes in a variety of glass-working techniques including; flame working, jewelry fusing, glassblowing, stained glass, and silver art clay.

Beautiful glass bowls, vases, ornaments and other items made by our talented glass artists are available for sale in The Works Gear Shop. Each piece is one-of-a-kind!

The Glass Works Studio Hours of Operation:
Open during regular museum hours. Watch glassblowers at work throughout the day or stop in for a narrated demonstration on weekdays and Saturdays at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. The Glassblowing Studio is closed on Sundays.

Meeting Room includes podium and microphone, free internet access, wall mounted dry erase board, projection screen, public address system with background music capability served by CD player and a kitchen equipped with refigerator, microwave and stove.
